The forecast was right for today as we start the day with blue skies and fine weather in Niseko. It is going to be a clear and warm day here and we might see the temperature rise to close to 10C later this afternoon. Tomorrow is forecast to be pretty much more of the same really.

The Hirafu Gondola is of course operating today and tomorrow as well for the weekend, and so we now have four lifts moving at Grand Hirafu and four lifts over at Annupuri (Jumbo No2 lift is open today). All lifts are running as normal on this fine morning.

It feels strange for a weekend to be quiet in Niseko, but that's mid-April for you I suppose! For those who are here and make it out on the slopes, I hope you have lots of spring fun out there.

Current lift operations (14th April 2012):

Grand Hirafu & Hanazono:
Ace Quad Lift No2
King Hooded Triple Lift #3
King Lift #4
The Hirafu Gondola will operate on 14th, 15th, 21st, 22nd, 28th, 29th, 30th April, and also from 3rd May until 6th May.

Annupuri Gondola
Jumbo No1 quad
Jumbo No2 pair
Jumbo No4 pair

Grand Hirafu and Annupuri both plan to be open until 6th May.
The Hanazono and Niseko Village areas are now closed.
Niseko Village plans to re-open for the Golden Week holiday period from Sunday 29th April until Sunday 6th May.

Official snow depths:

Grand Hirafu / Hanazono:
Top - 390cm
Bottom - 150cm

Top - 410cm
Bottom - 150cm
