Yesterday was quite a good day although the visibility was somewhat less than the day before. The peak of Mt Niseko An'nupuri had a great cover of slightly denser than average snow that was very springy. It made for some of the best turns this season, providing faceshot after faceshot, despite not being much more than thigh to waist deep. The Miharashi forrest area was not as deeply covered as the past two weeks, but there was a fresh cover of light snow, nonetheless. The warmer temperatures over the last couple of days have caused a bit of melting from my observation, and the contour of the terrain seems a little more obvious. Hopefully the next few days will bring some more snowfall to bring back the bottomless pillows of light powder.

The low pressure system to our north has been slowly moving south and squeezing against the high pressure cell to our west. There is also a low pressure system over western China that has been pushing the high pressure cell northwards, butting it right into the northern low and keeping the boundary of the two local systems right over us. This should keep the weather churning lightly until next Tuesday when a low develops directly over us and should stay there, deepening on Wednesday and dominating until the end of the week. Heavy snowfall and winds are likely. We are in for another week of wild weather.

At the time of this report Ace #4, King #4 and Hanazono #3 lifts are suspended.
