We had another dream day yesterday in Niseko. After some heavy snowfall the previous night and during the morning the hill was again coated in super light, deep powder. The Miharashi Forrest was chest deep in many parts where the wind had blown in extra cover and offered the best riding for the day and great visibility considering the conditions. The peak area was somewhat wind packed but lower down the cover was waist deep and light. The Annupuri back bowls were also nicely filled in although visibility in all of the peak and upper mountian areas was low. The official Hirafu numbers don't reflect any new snowfall, infact it would suggest that the snow level has dropped at the base. However the avalanche report is noting 5cm of snow at the bottom of the mountain. Avalanche risk is low today.
