The last lift of the season at Shibutoge closed last night, meaning the end of the ski/snowboard season in Shiga Kogen.

After some rain last night the weather has improved for this morning and while there is still a fair bit of cloud it is also sunny early on and looks like it should be a generally fine day. It is still fairly cool.

Shiga Kogen is now in summer mode, and is a great place to visit even when there is no snow. Some of the lifts plan to be operating during the summer and fall seasons (for sightseeing and hiking) with those details below - subject to change, please check with resorts:
