So from today all of the Kagura areas are open and connected. Still not massively deep, but another couple of snow storms will see to that. Remember the top Romance 5 lift at Kagura plans to open this season on 1st January, with the Tashiro Number 2 high speed planning to get moving on Saturday 20th.

So, we have Iwappara and Joetsu Kokusai on standby and Naeba and Maiko Snow Resort plan to open from Saturday as well.

Both Iwappara and Joetsu Kokusai were yesterday saying that they were looking at possibly opening on Friday, but I'm waiting for an update on that.

Naeba will be at least part open and Maiko Snow Resort have said that the top Okusoeji ares will be open with the Gondola and two Okusoeji lifts operating.

So much to check!

OK onto the weather. Fine day yesterday with more cloud than expected maybe and it didn't warm up that much at all. This morning lots of cloud and a bit of blue sky but with a very mild temperature of 5 degrees. Rain is likely from this morning certainly in town but hoping it might be snow higher up at Kagura.

We still have that heavy snow due over the weekend though which looks set to replace melted snow and add more on top.

Still, lots of snow around on the ground any by the side of the roads. I reckon we'll stay white now until spring.
