Yesterday was actually quite busy out there at the places I saw around the town area. Lots of people out enjoying the spring-like weather and conditions too. There was a real feel of spring in the air.

As forecast, it's raining this morning in town and most lower areas. Currently +5 degrees in town. Mitsumata, Kagura and Naeba are reporting snow falling and so fingers crossed it stays that way, though the day will warm up a bit as we go on. Winds from the south are affecting some resort operations as well - Gala Yuzawa is closed and the only part of Kagura that is open is the Mitsumata area. Naeba is only part open as well with all the gondolas there not running this morning.

Looks like we just have to bunker down and get through this particular hurdle before we can hope for a return to more winter-like conditions, though the whole week looks set to be mild and borderline warm. It's going to be at least the weekend before we can realistically see that happen. Still confident that it will!
