Snow and weather reports posted on Friday 17th April 2020
Thursday 11th April 2013, 6:43am
An early report this morning. A dusting of snow up top it seems but nothing really down here in town and more like wet roads early on. The day is supposed to be a mix of sleet/rain, cloud, sun and then back to rain, sleet or snow... so take your pick.
Right now it is around +2 degrees with a high of around +6 forecast for later on in the day.
Update: Kagura reporting a full 10cm of fresh snow up there!
Official resort snow depths @ Thursday 11th April 2013, AM:
More snow this morning! Another 10cm here in village to add to what we had yesterday and no doubt more on the upper areas of the mountain as well.
Yesterday brought some suddenly improved conditions with up to 10cm or so on the runs. Today should bring more of the same.
A nice start to the day and cloud/fine seems to be lined up.

It is looking like another great day of spring skiing on the mountain and with the wider area bathing in beautiful sunshine and very few people on the slopes what more could you wish for.
Furano Ski Resort plans to close for the season on 6th May.
As we move towards mid April the reality is that the end of the season is not too far away so best to get motivated and make the most of the limited time left. This weekend there will be a pond skimming competition on Sunday 14th April - registration is on the day from 11:00-11:30am and the event commences at 12:00pm. So if you are looking to have some fun and demonstrate your water skiing skills, pencil this into your calendar. Also on Saturday and Sunday this week there will be new models skis available for demo from 10:00am - 15:00pm. Read more ...
