Cloudy and some light snow on the mountain early on (bit of fresh up there?) but it looks like some clearer conditions are on the cards for later on.
There's a bit more light snow currently on the forecast over the next few days, but I wouldn't expect much at all. It is keeping cold though which is good for the snow conditions. (Obviously we always want a bit more snow).

It is a very nice morning and we have received a respectable 7cm of new snow in the village which will equate to 10-15cm on the resort I think. There is little in the way of breeze and the temperature is milder than the last few days, which is good. Should be a good powder morning, but with today being a public holiday expect a bit of a queue for the lifts like there was yesterday. It is still snowing very lightly but this is not compromising the visibility.

Cloudy, and getting more so
Just a little extra snow through the day. It looked like sun earlier, but snow is definitely coming in over the top of the mountain now.
The snow has settled a lot, which is good; it was really heavy if you happened to head out into the untracked yesterday.
Super crowded at the ski resorts, which is nice to see for them.... today seems a little more restrained, but this is the last day of perhaps the best long weekend of the year.
No fresh snow overnight - just a dusting - but there was 6cm by the evening yesterday.
Popular ski resorts around Yuzawa were looking very busy yesterday! It's not often these days that you see long lines for ski lifts. Not ideal for people waiting in them perhaps, but it is good to resorts enjoying popularity. We can surely expect a busier-than-normal Monday today, but things should be getting quieter in the afternoon as lots of folk start to make their way back home.
It is a cold and icy morning, currently -4C just after 8am.
We are due more snowfall once again tomorrow. Regular... nice.

Morning from Madarao.
It was busy yesterday. Actually I had to go over to Myoko in the afternoon and there were a lot of people over there too. Yappari, one of the busiest mid-winter weekends of the season.
This morning there is a lot of cloud around. No snow overnight but some from during the day yesterday (which is what I am recording this morning). It is cold too so I expect some nice conditions this morning.
By this afternoon there will be less people around and then tomorrow it's back to a normal weekday.
Planned operations for Monday 11th February 2019
Official snow depth at Madarao:
All lifts plan to be open All 31 courses should be open including tree run courses

Another 16cm of snow since my measurement yesterday morning as the snow keeps on steadily coming in.
Some very fine conditions to be enjoyed - and lots of people around to enjoy them. All should be open as normal this morning.
I don't seem to have many words in my bag this morning, so I think I'll just get myself out onto the mountain.
Niseko Avalanche Report:
Mountain Base 6.00am: -10°, 13cm snowfall in the last 24hrs, calm. Moiwa 800m: -12.2°, W7.8m/s, minor cornice and snowdrift development, 10cm snowfall in last 12hrs. Mikaeri Weather Station: minor snowdrift development. Annupuri 1120m: snow depth 240cm, 1150m: -12°, W15m/s, snowfall 10-20cm. Hirafu Peak: -12°, W15/ms, snowfall 20cm. Mizuno no Sawa: -13.47°, NW8.4m/s, 13cm snowfall in last 24hrs, mountain base: snow depth 174cm. Kutchan Weather Station:- 8.3°, S2.3m/s, snow depth 194cm. Suttsu Weather Station:- 5.3°, NW4.3m/s, snow depth 58cm.Cape Benkei: N10m/s, Cape Kamui: WNW8m/s, pressure 1025hPa, wave 1.7m.
There is inconsistency in the upper 15-20cm of snow pack, however the general avalanche risk is low. All peak gates are expected to be open. Please listen to the patrols advice before going through the gates. Proceed 1 by 1 on steep slopes. Do not wait in the valley bottoms, these are the avalanche paths.
Most avalanches are caused by peoples actions, but they also occur naturally often by cornice collapse. Dont jump up and down on the top of cornices, it might break off a lot further back than you expected. Cracks are starting to appear and are difficult to see from above. Be careful falling into them.
The mountains are reset and conditions are good. Beacons and helmets are recommended but not compulsory. The skier/boarder downhill in front has right of way, be aware of your blind spots. Beware of a sudden change in weather. This information is issued to prevent accidents outside the ski areas. Have a good day.

Morning from Hakuba.
Well, I was most definitely getting snowed on up at Happo-one - even though I'm not finding any fresh snowfall numbers being reported by the ski resorts this morning - even for higher up. Presumably, they mean 'since last night'. I don't know. I fish that kind of information was clearer. ('Wish', even!)
Hold on, 47 seem to have been reporting 5cm by late afternoon.
OK, so back to this morning. Cloudy skies and as I said no fresh snow being reported. It is very cold which is good and visibility is fairly decent.
We're still on for some snowfall overnight tonight so I hope to bring you news of fresh numbers tomorrow.
Today is the last day of the 'long weekend'. Places were busy yesterday and lots of people will still be around this morning. We'll be back to a normal weekday tomorrow.

Nozawa Onsen Now!
Monday 11th February 2019, 8:46am
No fresh snow being reported overnight apart from 2cm from the Uenotaira area. I wasn't able to check the official numbers late afternoon so I apologise for missing those. I measured slightly over 5cm since the morning.
It is a cold and cloudy morning. Not much sign of sun, not at the moment anyway.
As expected, it was a busy day yesterday. This being the last day of the long weekend, today will be less so, especially as the day goes on.
Tomorrow we should be seeing more fresh snow falling with regular snowfall over the coming week. That sounds good to me.
If you want to check out the mostly unavailable Kandahar lift, tomorrow is your chance! That was the plan anyway, hopefully it is still going ahead. It will be open to the general public tomorrow and then only on 1st March after that.

Shiga Kogen Now!
Monday 11th February 2019, 9:07am
Good morning from Shiga Kogen.
Brrrr, it's very cold again this morning. Right down there. The snow didn't last the whole day but there's some cm to add to the report this morning. This morning it's just cloudy, though quite bright at times. We're expecting more snow by tomorrow and over the next few days.
Last day of the 3 day weekend today. National Foundation Day, I believe it is called.
Shiga Kogen resort info: Monday 11th February 2019
The below information is manually checked for each report. Official snow depth numbers are as reported by the ski resorts themselves.
