Lovely and sunny
Hello everyone. It is a beauty of a morning here in Niseko. Lovely blue skies and sunshine early on.
That dusting of snow that I reported on in my last report has disappeared from all lower levels now and the slopes are looking bare once again.
Things look set to change over the next few days though - starting tomorrow and perhaps even through the weekend. It might start off with rain but quickly turn into snow and the forecasts seem to be looking rather tasty. So I hope to be coming back to report fresh snowfall to you soon. The start of daily duties is looming! Exciting.
Night time operations will be available at the Niseko Grand Hirafu, Niseko Village and Niseko Annupuri resorts. That is planned daily between Wednesday 11th December 2019 and Sunday 22nd March 2020.
Lift ticket prices depend on the period - Early, Regular or Spring Season:
Early Season = Saturday 23rd November 2019 until Tuesday 10th December 2019 Regular Season = Wednesday 11th December 2019 until Sunday 22nd March 2020 Spring Season = Monday 23rd March 2020 until Wednesday 6th May 2020

Shiga Kogen Now!
Wednesday 13th November 2019, 9:15am
A fine morning
Long time no see!
There has been a few frostings and slight dustings (10th November) so far, but this morning the sun is out and it is a beautiful start to the day.
The section of Route 292 that connects the southern area of the Shiga Kogen region (Yokoteyama) with Gunma Prefecture is going to be closing for the winter from 1pm today. (It will be closed until 24th April 2020 - until then you won't be able to get to Shiga Kogen from the Gunma side).
The signs of winter fast approaching!
I will be here with you daily once again this season, hopefully reporting a lot of regular snowfall.
First lifts will hopefully be moving on 23rd November.
