Nozawa Onsen Now!
Sunday 20th November 2011, 12:23pm
It's a wet and windy morning in Nozawa and after rain yesterday as well the snow has pretty much disappeared from the upper slopes. But no fear! It looks like by this time tomorrow they should have seen another coating as temperatures seem set to drop and snow fall at higher elevations. Probably not going to get down to village but it will be good to see the slopes coated in white once again.

This storm will usher in some much-needed arctic air, driving tomorrow's daytime temperatures down to a chilly -3 for the afternoon hours. Depending on where the heavy snow bands hit, this could put Furano over the top and ready to open early this week.
It's currently a balmy 8 degrees outside right now, but expect that to drop quickly come nightfall. Snow is in the forecast all day for tomorrow with plenty of chances for snow throughout the week. Read more ...
