Three more days to go - yes, Yokoteyama are going to be able to see out the season until Sunday!
It's a fairly bright but grey overcast kind of morning here and Yokoteyama reporting 5C early on. There's a chance we might see some rain today but tomorrow should be clear and sunny. The last day of the season, Sunday, currently has sun with a chance of rain showers as the forecast.
Anyone visiting now will be surprised at how the snow has really melted away over the last few weeks.... there's hardly any snow at all remaining on runs at neighbouring Kumanoyu.
OK, folks so this is it - the last weekend of the season is just ahead of us and including today there's just three days left of lifts moving at Kagura. The thin line of snow back to the Ropeway at Mitsumata is still in place, so this season there will be no need for the bus. Impressive!
It's the last weekend so we can expect a fair few people to turn up and the car park will get full quickly.
How's the forecast looking? Tomorrow it will probably be clear and sunny, a chance of some rain perhaps on Sunday but generally nice and warm.
The following lifts plan to be operating this week (Saturday 26th and Sunday 27th):
Ropeway opens at 7:30am tomorrow and Sunday. The last lift to close (apart from the Mitsumata Ropeway bringing people back) is the Mitsumata No3 pair lift so if you want to say you took the last lift... that's the one!
