As expected, it is snowing this morning. It's a cold one and probably about 20-30cm of new snow this morning, and it looks like it will be snowing for most of the day and clearing up later on.
Those winds are causing problems again though - with only the Mitsumata part of Kagura currently open. They are promising to open up more if the weather becomes more favourable later on in the day.
Tomorrow is still set to be cloud/sun. Read more ...

Light snow falling early on this morning but it is fairly windy in exposed areas. We are told to expect the snow to stop and the weather to clear up later on this afternoon, and it looks like tomorrow should be a fine day and a great day to be out. Read more ...

A winning combination today - sunny skies and 15-20cm of new snow.
Snow flurries late last night depsosited a nice soft layer of fresh on top of the harder base we have been skiing on recently. Warmer temperatures will come in later in the afternoon, along with solar radiation making the snow a bit heavier and mosisture laden.
Snow continued through yesterday ensuring the epic powder conditions continued. This morning though has dawned reasonably clear and the temperatures are relatively mild. Looks like we're going to get a little break from the continuous snowfalls over this weekend. Great opportunity for the sun deprived to replenish their vitamin D stocks.
Patchy clouds with snowfall plus sunshine at times.

A nice amount of snow over night with winds becoming strong for short periods during the day. Very busy at Hikage beginner slope and tomorrow should also be busy at least until the afternoon. Snowfall is constant with large flakes so there should be fresh runs all over the place. Holes appeared in the clouds today to help get some sun into peoples eyes around lunchtime. It was very cold down at Hikage which was surprising with the spells of sunshine coming and going. Read more ...
