Yuzawa Now!

Wednesday 28th March 2018, 5:54am
Weather conditions: Clear and sunny
New snowfall: 0cm
Snow depth: --
Good morning from Yuzawa and what is perhaps the earliest ever report.

It's easy though because there really isn't much to report that hasn't been said over the last few days - as expected, more fine and sunny weather along with warm temperatures. It almost feels like we could copy and paste the reports this week.

There is just a few days left now in the season for a handful of resorts around Yuzawa and Minamiuonuma.

Hakuba Now!

Wednesday 28th March 2018, 6:06am
Weather conditions: Fine
New snowfall: 0cm

Good morning from Hakuba.

There's some technical stuff going on today I believe, so I have got up early to post a report.

Thankfully it's really easy too, because today should be pretty much 'more of the same' - expect sunshine, fine clear skies along with warm spring temperatures - and spring conditions.

I don't know about you, but I'm going to get out and enjoy it while I can.

Niseko Now!

Wednesday 28th March 2018, 7:20am
Weather conditions: Fine, hazy
New snowfall: 0cm
Snow depth: --
Good morning from Niseko.

A lovely day yesterday. I had a lot of fun anyway.

It is another warm morning with temperatures even early on up to around 8C.

It's a hazy start to the day too, and reports on the news that sand is due to be flying in from the direction of China so that won't help.

Winds might not too so keep an eye out for potential top lift disruption.

More clear skies due the next few days, and slightly less warm.

Spring is really here; green things are popping up all over the place, and I even saw some crocuses blooming at a hotel across the street from Akakan. The forecasts are all for more of the same right through the end of the season, with maybe a little cooler weather tomorrow.

Happy to say that Lotte Arai is back as normal; not sure why everything was closed on the website up to about 9am (when I went out to enjoy a hike in the woods, a nice alternative to spring snow skiing).
