The sun stayed out for most of the weekend, right up until the lifts closed at Kagura yesterday afternoon. We actually started off this morning with clear weather too, but as I write this it is raining and there's some thunder making noises as well - a really quick change to conditions.
With Kagura closing it means that all of the ski resorts in Yuzawa are now closed, so that's the season finished. May hasn't been hot really, but from now we do expect things to start heating up and getting more humid. Of course, Yuzawa is less hot and humid than many places in Honshu and you can sometimes find some cool conditions with a walk up the mountains!
The next big event in Yuzawa is the Fuji Rock Festival at the end of July.
We will post some updates every now and again over the summer period... just to keep in touch and let you know about things going on in Yuzawa.
