The temperatures have dropped and the last few weeks we have been enjoying some bordering cold evenings and mornings - yes, we like them! - and the heaters are out and ready for action. This week overnight temperatures have dropped down into single figures and we even had a dusting of snow up on the higher mountains one night.... snow could even be seen at the top of Kagura. During the daytimes it has been hovering around mid teens most days. When the skies do clear though the autumn scenery higher up is looking very impressive - soon the valley should be getting it's fair share of colours as well, and hopefully the sun will come out and show them to us in all their splendour.
We'll be back soon with more news on opening dates for the ski resorts around Yuzawa - the first, as always, will be Kagura aiming for a late November opening. Read more ...
