Fine and mostly sunny
Welcome back to the Hakuba Now section of SnowJapan.
I thought I would get a new report posted while we are still in September.
The day after tomorrow and it'll be October, the month when we can hopefully say that the first lifts might be moving 'next month'! How time flies.
It has been a rather wet summer here in Hakuba and September has, like many places, been unseasonably cool. Mornings and evenings can be fairly chilly now though daytimes warm up to comfortable temperatures. The next month or so should see a really nice mix of decent autumn weather and hopefully some spectacular scenery as well as the leaves change colour.
After that, winter won't be too far away. Brilliant.
We'll post a few updates over the next weeks as time continues to march on, and of course we'll be posting daily updates from Hakuba once the ski lifts start to move.
