Unfortunately, this morning there is still a wind that is affecting resorts in Yuzawa - Gala Yuzawa, Naeba and Tashiro are all closed early on this morning.
What is open at the moment is the Mitsumata part of Kagura and part of Kandatsu Kogen.
It's much more of a cloudy start to the day today, about 19C degrees at 8:45am and while we are due for some rain to be falling today, it's not doing so yet in town, though I hear that they are seeing spots of rain fall in the Naeba area. It looks like rain on the forecast for later on today and into tomorrow - hopefully the clouds will clear for a sunny weekend.

Good morning from Niseko. It is another warm and cloudless morning here and today we should have a high temperature of around 20 degrees in the village. There's just a slight wind and the lifts seem to be moving as planned this morning.
Someone has asked us about Niseko Village as apparently there don't seem to be any lift status updates on their website - yes, they are open with the Gondola and Wonderland lift moving. As with the other two resort areas that are still part open, they intend to be open until the end of Sunday so just another few days.
As I have mentioned previously, from tomorrow we enter the second part of Golden Week for the last four days of the season in Niseko. It has felt very quiet the last few days actually, but no doubt more people will be here for that last chance slide of the season.

Unfortunately it looks like it's going to be rain for the day and probably tomorrow as well. But we can expect the skies to clear up around Friday and hopefully it will be clear and sunny for the last weekend of the season.

Minakami Now!

Weather conditions:
Overcast/Rain
New snowfall:

A bit of sporadic rain so far this morning in Minakami. It is OK now with clouds overhead but bit misty at the top at Tenjin and the snow is pretty soft this morning. The melt is progressing quickly as the snow takes a battering from warm temperatures and the odd rain shower. The forecast has been all over the place recently but is currently showing rain for the rest of the week and then it should clear up for Saturday. Sunday might bring rain showers, and at the close of play on Sunday they will close another lift for the season meaning there will only be one lift left for the last week of the Tenjin season.
