HOT! There has been a spell of hot sunny days (28-34 deg C) followed by some impressive thunder storms over the past 2 weeks. This has kept the humidity up as well as the water in the rivers, which the local outdoor sports enthusiasts are happy about!
The next couple of weeks looks like it could be drier but it is likely that the yudachi (evening rain) patterns will continue until early September.
CAUTION ADVISED! Those hiking or playing in rivers this summer should exercise extreme caution. There have been many strong sudden storms this season already, some of which have been causing flash floods. Keep an eye on the sky! Read more ...
