This place was awesome, apparently I went during the biggest snowfalls the area has had in a million years, the snow was outstanding quality. It was soooooooo deep, light and fluffy!!

They have plenty of trees to explore, the runs under the lifts are fantastic. The pistes themselves were great, nice and wide for the most part, good linking trails from piste to piste, pockets of trees/bushes and powder in between the runs to enjoy!!

Naeba review
I first came to Naeba at the beginning of the season. What a difference 2 months makes.

This place is big, much bigger than it first appears. The lift pass will even take you over to Kagura via the "Dragondola" so enough to keep you busy for a few days.

If you take Gondola 1 up, you are bound to see a few tracks off to your right. It is possible to grab some lovely powder through the trees and you'll

We've been going here for the past 4 years. Even in the "bad" seasons the snow was great.

We only just realised that apart from the 28 lifts at Akakura Onsen, there's another 20 or so just around the corner at Ikenotaira - looking forward to next year

Kagura review
A great place to get to for a day trip from Tokyo. The resort is big enough with enough variation from the top of lifts to keep you occupied. All the red runs have parts which will challenge and keep you on your toes.

Not many lifts were open today because of the winds, but lift 1 opened up about 2pm, which really made my day.
