Naeba review by YellowSnow
I took a day trip, with a first time skier.

The weather and the scenery was perfect, especially the scenery. I have a mixed feeling of Mt. Naeba, some very fun runs but runs were either very hard(to many mogul runs) or irregular beginner runs. That being said the beginner runs at the top were far better.

It's a great mountain and I would go there again, but I wouldn't bring a beginner there.

Itoigawa Seaside Valley review
I've been a number of times over the past few years and it's ideal for beginners & families.

Schools are available too.

Staff are friendly & food is quick and good too.

Coffee is oiishi desu!

I recommend more overseas visitors try Seaside Valley

New Greenpia Tsunan review by Tony Emmel
As a total novice and this being my first time ever at a ski resort bear with this review a little please.

New Greenpia is a well set out course with friendly staff and a family type atmosphere. Lift lines were very short. Runs are smooth, narrow at the top areas and wider as you decline. If I could manage to stand and ride the slopes here it is not for experienced boarders. Alpine skiers dominate the runs as do

Naeba review by number9
I'm upgrading the Naeba review because I just had my best Naeba day ever (one of the resorts I go to the most, but I realized that I'd been missing out on some goodies and haven't had the luck on snow condition either.)

Good day trip centre has been added to the premises with large number of lockers and dressing area, as well as a variety of new shops and restaurants.

Sunday had the best snow I've experienced in Naeba, light and

Went with the family for a hotspring New Year's trip. The main goal was to teach the youngest (5) how to snowboard while the others could go and do their own thing.

This year is a bad year for snow, and this place is one of the only few that are actually open on New Year's day!

The staff didn't bother checking if you had a lift ticket or not. You could go anywhere, and do anything -- no one

Kandatsu Kogen review by cactus
Weather brought sun rain snow and mostly hail.

There's two rails up in the park and more waiting to be put up. Some good banks, steep sections and tree runs possible with another metre or so but at the mo, there's not much accessible off the main tracks.

Our 1st time there. I'll give it 2 stars today, but I reckon this place would go off after a good dump.

I'll wait till there's another 70cm or so before I'd

Joetsu Kokusai review by tpot
So I went there on Jan 1-3, thinking it would be a bit of a nightmare with the new years snowboarding crowds. Monday I was super-surprised to find almost no lift queues and fairly uncrowded runs on the advanced slopes.

I have read every report on here and almost everyone bitched about the lifts which you need to take to get to other areas of the resort. In fact there are only 2 of these (3 on the day I went
