Iwappara review by Ronnie Wong
I and my wife visited Iwappara in March 2004.

Very easy to access for a day trip from Tokyo. Although not a big resort, there are suitable slopes for my wife (beginner) and myself (beginner and intermediate).

Facilities and catering are OK

One day of semi-icy conditions and one day of powder - not too bad.

Naeba has a variety of courses plus some off-course offerings. You should be able to find the perfect challenge - whether you're a beginner or a pro.

Crowds (this was a weekend) are there but the resort is large enough to handle them most of the time.

For non-boarders and non-skiers, there's lots to do. Rooms at the Prince are functional, beds are comfortable, and who cares anyway -

I wrote about this place because I went there last year and had fun, went again this year and the same is true but I went on the dragondla which takes you over to a couple more slopes which I enjoyed.

The only down side would be the hotel being so self-contained and I couldnt find an ATM.
