Hatoriko is an ok resort if you only have one day up your sleeve and are only a beginner to intermediate level. The mountain has some quiet long runs around 3.5kms, but unfortunately it's quiet flat, so there is not much of a challenge.
After big dumps this place really does suck as there isn't enough gradient to really get you going. The snow park lacks any imagination - it's impossible to access the rails, as they are put off to one side of the park and its impossible to line yourself up to them, basically they are wasted. All the lifties are to old to really care!
Anyways, on the up side there is a small narrow run on the right of the mountain, that has telephone poles down the center of it that always has fresh powder, you can either follow it down to the road if there is enough snow or pull of itnear where the C course corners back into the ski resort. To get to it go up lift one then hang a right at the top and just keep going straight, you will find it. Also under the quad there is a nice chairlift run that has a few hits near the poles, although its a bit of a mission getting out through the trees.
I wouldn't really recomend it as there are better resorts in the area, but if you live close give it a try.
