Niseko Grand Hirafu review by powder ranger
This is a fantastic resort with facilities and three main resorts to ski, it snowed 22 out of 23 days and we had powder up to our eye balls most of the time, if you know where to go.

I am extremly concerned about the Australian visitors in particular creating a "Bali" in this resort - they were inpolite to the japanese, they constantly ducked ropes into dangerous bowls, cornice areas and ridges making it highley hazerdous for skiers below. They seemed not to make any atempt to learn the language or customs of the local people, the streets were filled with urinating hooligans late at night, they were unprepared for back country conditions making it dangerous for the friends they took out of bounds.

All and all I was disgusted and ashamed to be australian watching the majority ruin it for the many other foreigners in the resort, Grow Up!! your not in Thredbo/Perisher.
Date visited: From February, 2006
Snow condition on visit: EPIC!
Things I liked: Powder
Things I didn't like: Arrogent, Inconsiderate and inpolite aussies
