There were eight adults in our group from Australia. We chose to stay in comfortable apartment-style accommodation (Casi67). We have all skied previously in Australia, NZ, Canada, USA, Austria, Poland and Switzerland. This was our first trip to Japan.
The instructions for transfers were accurate and easy to follow. The transfer to Casi67 was prompt and straightforward. On arrival we felt welcomed and the apartment was immaculate. The property is new and comfortable with all amenities. The towels and sheets were supplied for changing daily. The DVD collection and wireless internet were a welcome and handy surprise. The chalet is a short 3min walk to the bus for transfer to the mountain. The road and path are ploughed daily. We used the car that was provided on rare occasions. The car was certainly not a necessity, but was helpful for shopping. The spa was the stand-out option...aah so relaxing. We will be unlikely to stay in a place without one in the future! I would describe it as a reasonably-priced, luxurious upper-end chalet.
Niseko has many English signs. Most of the staff in the restaurants, shops and on the mountain speak some English. There is an English Ski School. It snowed powder every day we were there. The lifts are quiet and open from 08:30 to 21:00 (with night skiing possible over half the mountain)...this made a sleep-in or mid-afternoon spa an option. Our next ski trips will definitely be planned around the option of night skiing. The mountain is large with many options for intermediate to advanced skiers.
Overall, Niseko was one of the best places we have skied. Casi67 was a luxurious place to stay that we could not fault. We would definitely recommend to other travellers. Thank you for your hospitality.
