Fantastic skiing in a fantastic resort
We actually skied Happo One, Goryu/47 and Tsugaike Kogen.

Mixed ability family who all enjoyed the fantastic conditions, great variety of terrain and unbelievable hospitality from the locals.

On this latter point, the contrast between warring with the Germans to try to get a beer at the Café Sailer in St. Anton, Austria, and enjoying a discourse with the hugely welcoming and friendly Japanese in any mountain or resort café/restaurant, could not be greater.

We're going back next week for a 2 week stay and are counting the days. Wonderful place!
Date visited: From 07 January, 2014 To 17 January, 2014
Snow condition on visit: Very good - all runs open
Things I liked: Snow conditions, variety of terrain, friendliness of locals, very reasonable prices
Things I didn't like: Unlike any other place I have skied (resorts in USA, Austria, France, Italy, Switzerland, Scotland) there were absolutely no negative aspects to skiing in Hakuba !!
