Iwappara resort review (Yuzawa Town, Niigata)

Let's Iwappara
Today I spent 4+ hours at Iwappara in Yuzawa.

Almost all of that time was spend exclusively at the top area and using just the top quad lift.

I can see why people say that Iwappara is perfect for beginners... it is. That many wide area in the middle of the resort I would say is about as good as you can get to learn on. Wide and gentle.

I quickly made my way up to the top quad and as I said spent almost all of my time up there - either coming straight down or using one of the side courses. A decent steep slope there providing some challenge. Pity the snow was a bit heavy - I imagine it's fantastic when there's some deep fluffy powder to play in.

I also used the run that is serviced by a pair lift off to the side from the top. There was some nice untouched snow on the sides there, but the speed of the quad meant I was fairly quickly back there.

I had a good day - and the weather was excellent with bright sunshine and blue skies.

Many thanks to SnowJapan for the Yuzawa ticket that I won to be able to visit Iwappara.
