A very good place to go skiing for the first time
We went to Iwappara this last week, luckily after the heavy snowfall.

My kids are learning to ski and this place really is probably the best place to do it. In this area of Japan anyway.

The wide middle area is gentle - and very wide. And on weekdays there's tons of space for everyone.

I headed up to the top area which is much more of a challenge and had fun up there. The snow was great.

Definitely recommend it for both the kids learning and for people like me too.
Date visited: No specific date.
Snow condition on visit: Very good
Things I liked: Wide open gentle slopes for beginners, more challenge at the top
Things I didn't like: The pair lifts are rather slow, but that's the same for many pair lifts at other resorts too
Recommended for: Beginner riders
Intermediate riders
Authentic Japan experience
