Minowa, last years destination wasn't exactly the easiest place to find but not every thing can go your way. Maybe it was the fact that I was driving and having Japanese back seat drivers who all think north was south. Maybe its my Japanese.

Anyway Minowa is inpressive but it did lack something. There are less facilities though car parking is a plenty.

The slopes were terrific with many avenues to explore. I cant help but think that there are more skiers then boarders but I suppose every day is different and I only had one day there.

If my directions are correct (which we aleady know are questionable) Minowa is on the side of the range that is exposed to more weather and the day I was there it certainly was blowing a gale. My little bones were freezing but the powder was good. In fact last year I thought it was a great year for snow and coverage was extended beyond the normal boundries.

Minowa is a busier resort then some and is well worth the visit. It has to rate at 6.5/10.
