Aomori Spring Ski Resort is located on the northern slopes of Mt Iwaki in Ajigasawa town in the western region of Aomori Prefecture. This resort was until recently known as Naqua Shirakami Ski Resort. It is one of the bigger and more well-known ski and snowboard resorts in the northern Tohoku region.

Aomori Prefecture is the northernmost prefecture on the main island of Honshu and borders Akita Prefecture and Iwate Prefecture to the south. Hokkaido is to the north across the Tsugaru Strait. There are a number of ski hills located across Aomori Prefecture, mostly small in scale. The capital, Aomori city, is located in the central area by the shores of Mutsu Bay and to the north of the Hakkoda mountains.

As the 2018-2019 winter season approaches, we will gradually be updating the information for every ski resort in Japan.

Many ski resorts in Japan do not update their own information until the autumn months and so our process of updating information will be ongoing until November.

Resorts usually open and close around the same time each season - if the 2017-2018 planned season dates are still displayed on this page, they can be used as a good indication of the season length.
