Imajo 365 is located on the eastern slopes of Mt Hachibuse in Minami Echizen town in the central region of Fukui Prefecture, close to the border with Shiga Prefecture. It is the most southerly ski hill in Fukui Prefecture and usually one of the first to open in the Kansai region. Previous snowboarding restrictions no longer apply - both skiers and snowboarders are now welcome every day. Oh, apart from one course which is skiers-only.
Last year they boldly called themselves a 'perfect snow resort'.
Unfortunately, Imajo 365 will not be open during the 2020-2021 winter season. With over 70% of visitors coming from heavily populated regions of Kansai, the official reason is to help prevent the spread of covid-19.
Fukui Prefecture is in the Chubu region of central Japan, facing the Sea of Japan. It borders Ishikawa to the north, Gifu to the east and Kyoto and Shiga to the south. Most of the ski hills in Fukui Prefecture are found in the north eastern region to the east of the capital, Fukui city.
