Montdeus Hidakuraiyama Snow Park is located to the south of central Takayama city in the northern region of Gifu Prefecture. Hidafunayama Snow Resort Alcopia is close by and shared tickets are available.
Gifu Prefecture is located in the Chubu region of the central region of Honshu island, and it one of only a handful of landlocked prefectures. It shares borders with (from the north) Toyama, Nagano, Aichi, Mie, Shiga, Fukui and Ishikawa. Most of the ski and snowboard resorts in Gifu are located in the northern region of the prefecture – in Gujo city, Takayama city, Hida city and Shirakawa village.

Children's facilities
The 'Sled Only Square' is located near the base Centre House. It is free to enter and the moving walkway costs 510 yen for the day (free with valid ski lift ticket). Usually open from 8:30am until 4:00pm.
There is also a 'Snow Cruising' course which is basically tubing with the help of a snowmobile. That costs 1,200 yen per person.

2020-2021 Season lift tickets
The Morning ticket is valid from opening until 12:00pm. The Afternoon ticket is valid from 12:00pm until closing.
For people using the lift coupons, the quad lift requires 2 coupons and the pair lifts require 1 coupon.
'Picnic Pass' ticket is for 2 adults and 1 child - 8,300 yen on weekends and holidays. 'Picnic Pass' ticket is for 2 adults and 2 children - 10,200 yen on weekends and holidays.
A two day ticket that is available at Montdeus Hidakuraiyama Snow Park and Hidafunayama Snow Resort Alcopia is available. That ticket costs 5,400 yen for adults and 3,200 yen for children and seniors. The two days do not need to be consecutive days.

Hida Ichinomiya Station on the Takayama Honsen line is about 6km away but note that not all trains stop there.
Takayama Station is just over 13km to the north and about 30 minutes by taxi.

There is a free shuttle bus from Hida Ichinomiya Station and it takes about 10 minutes.
There is also a free shuttle bus service available from Takayama Station.

From the IC exit south on Route 41.
After about 11km turn right onto Prefecture Road and follow the signs to the base of the resort.
