Akakura Kanko Resort is just over 4km from Myoko Kogen Station which is on the Kita Shinano Line and Myoko Haneuma Line local train lines. Both of these train lines begin/end at Myoko Kogen Station.
Taxis are available from the station.
There is a regular shuttle bus service between the town area of Akakura Onsen and the ski area. The service is free for people using the ski area. The bus leaves the Akakura Onsen town area at the following times:

11:00am; 11:30am; 12:00pm; 12:30pm (weekends, holidays and New Year only)

The service runs from 14th December 2024 until 23rd March 2025.
There is also a local city bus.
The most convenient exits of the Joshinetsu Expressway for getting to Akakura Kanko Resort are Myoko Kogen IC when approaching from the south and Nakago IC when approaching from the north.
From the Myoko Kogen IC exit, turn left at the traffic lights onto Route 18 and head north for about 1.3km. Turn left onto Prefecture Road 39 which is signposted as Akakura Spa and follow the signs to Akakura Kanko Resort. The ski area is on the left side of the road.
From the Nakago IC exit, turn right onto Route 18 and head south for just over 9km until reaching the Tagiri traffic lights with a turn off to the right signposted as Akakura and Shin Akakura. At these traffic lights turn right and follow the road up to another junction. Turn left at that junction and the entrance to Akakura Kanko Resort is about 150m on the right hand side.
There is parking by the base of Akakura Kanko Resort for 1,000 vehicles.
Parking is free every day of the season.
