Iizuna Resort is a ski area located in Iizuna Town in the northern region of Nagano Prefecture.
The ski area is on the eastern slopes of Mt Iizuna, north of Nagano City and south of the ski areas of Myoko in Niigata Prefecture.
Iizuna Resort has one 1719m quad lift and two pair lifts, and a run with a steepest gradient of 40 degrees. Towards the top of the mountain, the snow on a few runs usually is left ungroomed.
The lower area is usually open for floodlit night skiing Tuesdays through Saturdays in the main season.
The bobsleigh and luge events of the 1998 Nagano Winter Olympics were held at the Spiral facility, about 6km south of Iizuna Resort.
The Iizuna Kogen ski area was about 4km away, but unfortunately, it permanently closed a few years ago. More information about Iizuna Kogen can be found on SnowJapanHistory here.
There are several official ungroomed off the top pair lift.
The Kids Park Land is a netted area near base featuring a moving walkway, sledding and other activities.
Entry to the Kids Park is 1,500 yen. It is usually open from 8:30am until 3:30pm.
Ski and snowboard lessons are available at Iizuna Resort.
Ski and snowboard equipment and wear rental is available.

Iizuna Resort is normally open from 8:30am until 4:00pm during the daytime.
The top Number 4 pair lift does not operate on every weekday.
Night skiing is from 6:00pm until 10:00pm on the following dates:
* 27th-28th December 2024
* 3rd-4th; 7th-12th, 16th-18th, 21st-25th, 28th-31st January 2025
* 1st, 4th-10th, 13th-15th, 18th-23rd, 26th-28th February 2025
* 1st, 7th-8th March 2025
The quad lift operates during night skiing.
