Togakushi is a ski area located on the western slopes of Mt Iizuna in Nagano City in the northern region of Nagano Prefecture.
The ski runs at Togakushi are arranged around the slopes of Menosan and Kenashiyama. The two areas are known as Koshimizu and Chusha (or Chusya).
Togakushi has two quad lifts (1135m and 995m) and five pair lifts, and there are 19 official ski runs with a steepest gradient of 31 degrees.
Togakushi has been operating since 1963.
Apart from skiing and snowboarding, Togakushi is famous for noodles and.... ninja. (There is a Ninja Village attraction is nearby).
Since Iizuna Kogen closed a few years ago, Togakushi is now the only ski area within Nagano City. More information about Iizuna Kogen can be found on SnowJapanHistory here.
There are a few park areas at Togakushi.
The Kids Park, known as Ninja Slope, is located at the base of the ski area.
Ski and snowboard lessons are available at Togakushi.
Ski and snowboard equipment & wear rental is available.
